| 1992 | graduated with an outstanding academic record from the Ballet Dept. of Shanghai Dance School In the July of the same year, Li was contracted as the Principal in The Ensemble of Jiangsu Province. |
| 1996 | under the government program of “Excellent Talents”, Li has been a teacher in the Ballet Dept. of Shanghai Dance School. |
Li has been taking a variety of dance instruction for his students since the very beginning of his career, namely Classical Ballet, Rehearsal Practice, Pas de Deux, and the Foreign Folk Dance. Beside the regular teaching activities, in 1999, Li also joined the rehearsal and performance of the original choreography of The Magpie Bridge, which was jointly created by the Chinese and Japanese artists. In the year of 2000, as a committee member of The 6th National Dance Competition-Tao Li Cup, Li successfully presented his Ballet Class for Demonstration, which was greatly appreciated by the experts of China Ballet Society. In addition to that, Li frequently travelled with his students to Japan for exchange performance and choreographed a series of works for the celebrative performance. In 2004, officially invited by the Culture Department of Japan, Li deepened his academic learning in Tokyo under the title of ‘Over Sea Artists’. During this short period, besides being a guest teacher in Tokyo City Ballet, Li visited more than a dozen of local Ballet companies. After back to homeland, the article ‘Ballet in Japan—an outlook from an over-sea student’ was published in relevant magazine.

Learning the piano at an early age, at the age of 10 he was already have a try to compose. Good at playing the piano improvisation as well as instrumental music.
